Furniture: When robots make your bed

Your apartment is too small? Let robots rethink your space…

Paris, London, New York,… – finding appropriate and spacious living locations is a challenge these days. As apartments are less affordable, and thus getting smaller and smaller, the demand for smart new living solutions is increasing. But hey, here comes an interesting innovation, thanks to robots…

With a Swiss-knife like unit the company Ori wants to conquer the world of furniture. Their offering is based on a track and comes with touch, voice and app activation. “Alexa, have Ori make my bed!” And within some seconds the bed slides in and out of the living room. Sleeping room, dining room and workspace are merging into one. Whether this comes alongside and justifies higher rents in the future is a scary outlook and needs to be seen.

Robotic furniture alive

Companies start implementing WiFi systems in the kitchen, so that you are able to start cooking when you are still at your desk in the office. So, why not having a bed that changes the room setting according to your needs after work? Although some of us would probably prefer a robot that is cleaning up at home when they are off to the office, this new robotic furniture can still solve the first living experience needed: more space to act and live.

PS: Bumblebee Space offers another solution that makes the top of your apartment become the new organizer of space.
